Environment:

Marina of the salt is located in the Regional Park of Salinas y Arenales de San Javier. The park has an approximate area of 856 hectares., Of which about 500 hectares. are occupied by the ponds salineros, dividing the remaining area between the sand and dunes that lie along the 6 km. of coastline that has the park, the salt marsh and pine forest of Coterillo IBTS between the dunes and the salt industry in the Northeast, and finally the weirs in the south where they communicate the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean. Due to the high natural values​​, this wetland was included in 1994 on the List of Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Convention), next to the Mar Menor lagoon.

The Blue Flag is a badge awarded annually by the Foundation for Environmental Education at beaches and marinas that meet a range of environmental conditions and facilities. Marina de las Salinas has Blue Flag status for compliance with water quality standards, safety, general services and environmental management.
